Thank you to the racers, families, and crew that joined us for the July Bracket Blitz weekend! Unseasonably cool weather for July looked promising but weather proved to be a challenge all weekend long. Friday night test & tune was paused multiple times for sprinkles but we were able to complete and even have a Pit Vehicle race that was won by Easton Hodge!
We were once again met with a cool July morning on Saturday and eventually endured 4hrs of rain delay to complete the race around 3am on Sunday morning…that was a long day!
Sunday was HOT with feels like temps over 100 degrees! Racing was moving along nicely when a thunderstorm moved into the area around 8pm. Lightning was close enough we had to “pull the plug” on racing and not long after the rain started. Eliminations were completed for SS/S Combo and Sportsman but all other classes were halted in 5th round.
