Beech Bend Park opens on May 4th,2013! Splash Lagoon opens May 18th! In order to keep ticket prices as low as possible and eliminate significant waste associated with the free drink program, the current soft drink program will be replaced with a low cost alternative in 2013. $1 refills will be available (up to 32 ounces) if you have a Beech Bend souvenir cup from this year or previous years. Beech Bend will continue to offer free parking, free sunscreen and free tubes/mats. Our family is committed to providing our guests with the highest quality, family friendly entertainment in a safe, clean environment.

VORTEX . . .

Beech Bend owner Dallas Jones and family signed a contract to purchase a Chance Revolution ride while attending the IAAPA trade show in Orlando recently. The revolving swing will take riders 60 feet into the air reaching a maximum swing angle of 240 degrees! Riders will sit facing each other to maximize the interactive experience, and at the max height of the swing, the riders will be suspended upside down! "This is one of my all time favorite rides, and its addition will truly alter the landscape of our already fantastic park," commented Reed Gonzalez, rides supervisor and grandson of the Jones'. This new attraction will surely become the premier thrill ride at Beech Bend Park! Construction of the VORTEX is well underway. There have been construction delays due to significant rainfall this spring. Opening of the ride will likely be sometime in late June. Look for updates in the near future.

New Characters, New Laughs at the Wild Bill Hiccup's Wild West Show in 2013

We're taking entertainment to a whole new level in 2013 with "Wild Bill Hiccup's Wild West Show"-new and improved! Your family will love the slap stick comedy and hilarious antics of Wild Bill Hiccup and his gang of bandits. Sheriff Roscoe will have his hands full trying to tame Annie Oaktree, Bad Bart and Daredevil Dan. Did I mention the chicken and coyote? Don't miss this updated, hilarious family show!

Special School Field Trip Days have been set for May and early June. A school field trip to Beech Bend Park is both educational and fun. We offer a special magic show promoting self-esteem and drug awareness for interested schools and also can provide a Science Guide for students and teachers. (Anyone 3 years and older requires a season pass). But hurry, these spectacular savings are good through May 31, 2013. The season pass entitles the holder to enjoy all the rides and attractions in Beech Bend Park, Splash Lagoon Water Park, and Gold Rush Golf everyday of the season (excludes go-carts and games). "Golden Ticket" Awards Announced-Beech Bend Park Receives High Marks

In a ceremony held recently, the 15th annual Golden Ticket Awards were announced. The Golden Ticket Awards were presented by Arlington, Texas based Amusement Today. Amusement Today is the world's leading amusement park/water park business journal. The Golden Ticket Awards have become the industry's most prestigious awards, equivalent to the "Oscar". Beech Bend Park is very proud to be recognized as the "Fifth Friendliest Park in the World" for the sixth year in a row. Beech Bend's Kentucky Rumbler wooden coaster was also ranked as the "22nd Best Wooden Coaster" in the world. "Hundreds of wooden coasters were considered for these awards. We knew we had a winner with the Kentucky Rumbler the very first time we rode it, but it is gratifying to know the rest of the world agrees," commented Dallas Jones, park president. The Kentucky Rumbler has ranked in the Top 25 every year since it was built in 2006. The Kentucky Rumbler was built by Great Coasters International, Inc. Beech Bend Park was very excited when the Sea Dragon was purchased from Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch. While Michael's life was controversial at times, his contribution to the music world is legendary. With Michael's passing, we have been overwhelmed with calls and visits from fans wanting to ride the Sea Dragon from Neverland. It's a great ride!
